Lotus Integrity and fascination are the living symbols of the lotus. Its quality to close its blossoms in the water at night and to unfold them at daylight, results in the fascinating metamorphose of this plant at dust and dawn. It connects the chaotic darkness with the meaningful light. Zear “This piece is composed for my beloved friend, Harald.” The music is devided into 4 pieces but can be played without breaks. It can also be performed alternated with the cello suite in E flat major by J.S.Bach. Then the different parts come in between the parts of Bach. Zear was written in June 2008 especially for the occasion of the concerts of the Klara Festival. Hanne wanted to create and play a piece of music of herself in that programme. So she wrote something that she felt good and comfortable with as a composer and as a bass clarinet player. It is evident that a composer thinks about his musicians but it is a different situation when you know in advance that you will also be the creator. The music makes sound the total tessiture of the bass clarinet together with the different colours. It is a very melodic piece with a rhytmical challenge in the last part. DWE This trio for piano (David van Looveren), clarinet (Wouter Aerts) and violin (Eliot Lawson) was written in commission of hommages and the creation took place 2nd December 2009. Deneire: “ I found my inspiration in the text `17.912 days thrilled by beauty` by Nik Honinckx and the last words: `D.W.E. Duizelingwekkende Eerlijkheid` which means in Dutch dazzling honesty”. Mitä Mita is the Finnish translation of `what` and points to the critical questions of the composer which provide opposite answers. An interaction between chamber music, orchestral music, traditional notations and aleatoric music.
