Quatuor Arod
Quatuor Arod is a French string quartet and was founded in 2013.
Quatuor Arod studied with Mathieu Herzog, Jean Sulem and with the Artemis Quartet. Furthermore, they also received lessons from Quatuor Ebène and Quatuor Diotima.
The quartet has already performed in various major halls such as the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, the Arsenal in Metz, Wigmore Hall in London, Konzerthaus Wien.
They were also guests at the festivals of Verbier, Montreux, Pablo Casals Festival, Bremen Musikfest.
In 2017, Quatuor Arod performed the world premiere of the First String Quartet by French composer Benjamin Attahir
From 2017 to 2019 they were appointed BBC New Generation Artists
Quatuor Arod is ensemble in residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac and ProQuartet-CEMC.
2014: first prize at the FNAPEC European Competition in Paris
2015: first prize at the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen
2016: first prize at the prestigious ARD Wettbewerg in Munich

Since 2017, Quatuor Arod has had an exclusive recording contract with Erato, where a first CD was released with quartets by Mendelssohn
