AMUZ brings live music to listeners with reduced mobility

Concert by Izhar Elias & Consone Quartet broadcast live in nursing home and reception center

AMUZ (Festival van Vlaanderen Antwerpen) continues to make classical music accessible to everyone. On Sunday, March 30, not only visitors at AMUZ can enjoy the concert by Izhar Elias & Consone Quartet, but it will also be broadcast live at nursing home 't Huizeken van Nazareth and reception center Meihof van Fedasil in Lint. In this way, AMUZ wants to give less mobile music lovers the opportunity to enjoy top musicians and a high-quality concert experience.

Quality livestreams for a wider audience

For those who cannot visit AMUZ for various reasons, the concert hall organizes livestreams. The Antwerp concert hall has professional equipment to deliver a concert remotely with the same intensity and quality. By working together with nursing homes and reception centers, residents can experience a classical music event in a familiar environment that comes as close as possible to a live visit. This initiative is a continuation of previous collaborations where AMUZ makes concerts accessible to a wider audience. An inclusive future for classical music The collaboration with reception centers and nursing homes concretely contributes to AMUZ's inclusive cultural offering. "By bringing the concert experience beyond our walls, we hope to allow even more people to enjoy the magic of live music." During the concert, Izhar Elias & Consone Quartet will perform, among other works, Schubert's masterpiece Der Tod und das Mädchen and Boccherini's famous Guitar Quintet No. 4, with its energetic Spanish fandango as finale.
