"Music has been an indispensable part of my life for as long as I can remember. It was my outlet, my travel companion and daily sustenance. My violin, which I have played since I was four years old, has coloured my world. It became my primary means of expression, more than words ever could.Now I face the difficult task of learning to live without my violin. With pain in my heart, I must accept that I am no longer physically able to play. My right hand, especially my index finger, the master instrument of the bow, has lost its sensation. After 58 years of precise pressure on the same spot, the nerve has been irreparably damaged.
I hope that my music, recorded on 48 albums, will continue to touch you. It comforts me to know that my work remains part of your lives, in the small and great moments. For myself, I will always remain a passionate woman, a creator of beauty, and I will direct my creative energy towards future projects. My guiding thought remains unchanged: 'Music is for everyone'.

Angèle Dubeau has built an exceptional career as a classical musician for more than 45 years and has performed in as many countries. Beyond her virtuosity and musicality, it is her personality that has earned her a special place in the hearts of the public. Her charming performances, generosity and her ability to create a connection with her audience make her one of the most beloved musicians.
As a virtuoso violinist, she is among the few classical musicians in the world to have received Gold Records. Over the course of her career, she has recorded 48 albums, sold more than 650,000 copies and accumulated no less than 230 million streams across various platforms.
At the age of 15, she won a Premier Prix in violin at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal under the direction of Raymond Dessaints. A year later she also won a Premier Prix in chamber music. She continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York with Dorothy DeLay and refined her playing between 1981 and 1984 with Ștefan Gheorghiu in Romania. Her talent was rewarded with numerous national and international honours.
Driven by her desire to innovate, Angèle Dubeau founded La Pietà in 1997, a string ensemble composed of women that has toured the world since its inception.
Her commitment to making music accessible to a broad audience has always been central to her career. In addition to numerous concerts, she designed and presented music programmes for radio and television, and has organised the annual Fête de la Musique de Tremblant, which has now existed for 29 years and attracts more than 40,000 music lovers each year.
Angèle Dubeau holds the record for the most Félix awards (Album of the Year) across all categories combined since the award was established.
For her outstanding contribution to music, she has received various honours, including: Officer of the Order of Canada, Knight of the National Order of Quebec, Officer of the Order of Montreal, and the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec.
