From Wednesday, February 15 to Thursday, February 23, Krokusfestival takes place at CCHA. The annual arts festival for young audiences also moves to other Hasselt locations, such as Villa Basta, knst. Hasselt and Clarenhofkapel.
The 26th edition of Krokusfestival is once again characterised as an adventurous festival with plenty of new work, new makers and international work being presented in Belgium for the first time. With no fewer than eight world premieres and ten Belgian premieres, adventurers can go on a discovery tour.
Krokusfestival presents, as is customary, plenty of dance featuring among others Ultima Vez, BATMAT, Danaé Bosman, tout petit, Second Hand Dance Company, The 100Hands, Keren Levi and Claire Parsons co. Furthermore, Krokusfestival explores circus arts with Piet Van Dycke (Circumstances), Compagny Lindh & Weingartner and Joshua Monten. The focus on objects and figures is also evident during the festival with works by Hanafubuki, Céline Timmerman, Theater FroeFroe and KATANARI.
At an arts festival for young audiences, the voice of CCHA's youth collective cannot be missing. De Stokers present, together with CCHA, two productions: Pinokkio by Jonas Baeke & Jeff Hellemans and Meet me halfway by Adams Mensah (Amaj Productions & kunstZ).
Krokusfestival features no fewer than 25 stage productions and 5 installations, workshops and intergenerational activities. For children from age 0 (!) onwards, parents and grandparents. Furthermore, Krokusfestival also focuses annually on national and international professionals with multiple networking moments and symposia.
