A harmonious collaboration between Ron Adelaar and Tom Kristiaan
With the EP De Lage Landen, renowned neoclassical pianists Ron Adelaar (Netherlands) and Tom Kristiaan (Belgium) join forces. The collaboration between Adelaar and Kristiaan arose organically. Although the two had known each other for some time, a chance conversation brought them to the idea of composing together. What began as a loose thought quickly grew into an inspiring project."It is a great honor to work with a composer like Ron," says Tom Kristiaan. "We complemented each other perfectly and naturally created something special."
Four performances, two composers
The EP De Lage Landen contains two main compositions: De Lage Landen and Bruggen. These titles not only refer to the geographical connection between the Netherlands and Belgium, but also to the symbolic bridge that the two musicians create with their music.
A unique approach makes this project extra special. Both composers have recorded their own interpretation of the pieces. As a result, the EP consists of four tracks: De Lage Landen (BE) and Bruggen (BE), performed by Tom Kristiaan, and De Lage Landen (NL) and Bruggen (NL), performed by Ron Adelaar. This provides a fascinating listening experience in which the personal styles of both artists shine beautifully.

An impressive track record
Both pianists have already built impressive careers and reached a wide audience. Their music is frequently heard on streaming platforms and together they have accumulated more than 300 million streams.
Ron Adelaar (1960) has a background as a pianist and conductor. His neoclassical compositions are known for their meditative and soothing character. His music contributes to relaxation and concentration and is listened to worldwide. In addition to his work as a pianist, he is also an A&R manager at Andante Piano.
Tom Kristiaan (1972) received classical training but quickly developed his own style in which melancholy and melody play a prominent role. His third album, Petites Danses et Rêveries, marked his international breakthrough and was nominated for the prestigious Edison Music Awards. Over the years, he has collaborated with various international composers, including Matthew Adam (UK), Dennis Korn (Germany) and Adrien de la Salle (Canada).
