On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the second edition of De warmste nacht van het talent takes place in Mechelen. This event, which is part of Mechelen houdt je warm, brings together four talented ensembles in the Sint-Pieter-en-Paulkerk for an evening full of musical warmth and diversity.
From an impressive selection of 41 submissions, four participants were chosen to present their warmest musical project. The program promises a fascinating journey through different musical styles and periods.

The evening opens at 7:15 PM with the recorder consort Cairn. They take the audience on a journey to the Mechelen studio of Petrus Alamire, a fascinating dive into local music history.
Next, at 7:50 PM, the Gaia Duo takes the stage, consisting of Marilena Chrysochoidi and Giorgos Tabakis. They transport listeners to ancient Greece with their captivating sounds.
After a short break, at 8:15 PM, comes a special announcement: the unveiling of the Lunalia 2025 festival program and the presentation of the book "Hoofd vol klanken".
At 8:40 PM, Loeke Vanhoutteghem and Esther Coorevits take the stage. This duo brings a unique mix of spoken word and soundscapes, a surprising combination that transcends the boundaries of traditional genres.
The evening closes with Les Chanteuses Anonymes, a vocal trio that begins at 9:10 PM. They bring an eclectic mix of folk songs, classical music and jazz standards, a perfect finale to this versatile musical evening.
