The annual Year-End Recital of the Academisch Cultureel Forum, on Friday 29 November 2019, will be graced by pianist Hans Ryckelynck. He presents a brilliant programme that also features various composers who are members of Klasse Kunsten: Roland Coryn, Luc Van Hove, Piet Swerts, André Laporte and Wim Henderickx.
Hans Ryckelynck studied piano with Johan Duijck at the Koninklijk Muziekconservatorium van Gent and at the Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth in Argenteuil, where he graduated summa cum laude. He perfected his skills in Paris with the renowned pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he is regularly heard in Belgium (Festival van Vlaanderen, Les festivals de Wallonie) and has given concerts throughout Europe, China and Japan.
Hans Ryckelynck is a laureate of the Belgian Stichting Roeping, and received the prize of the Belgian Artistic Promotion of Sabam.
His discography includes around fifteen CD recordings, including a great deal of piano music by Joseph Jongen. These recordings were very warmly received by the Belgian and international press:

As a pedagogue, Hans Ryckelynck enjoys an excellent reputation. He is piano instructor at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons and piano assistant at the Koninklijk Muziekconservatorium in Brussels. He is also frequently invited to give masterclasses (International Music Academy Dinant) or as a jury member for competitions (Concours International André Dumortier, Steinway Piano Competition, Cantabile Piano Competition)
