Every year the Grands Prix Sacem honour those who create and keep music alive: authors, composers, publishers and directors of all genres, all aesthetics, representing all professions in the creative sector.
Unique of their kind, these Grands Prix mark for the winning artists the recognition of their work by their peers; the prize winners are determined by a vote of the authors, composers and publishers who are members of the board of directors.
The evening of the Grands Prix Sacem took place on 30 November in Studio 104 of the House of Radio and Music.
Among the 19 awards on this list, Mathieu Lamboley, the composer of the series "Lupin", "Une zone à défendre" by Romain Cogitore, "Les Âmes sœurs" by André Téchiné, "Juste ciel!" by Laurent Tirard, "Les Têtes Givrées" by Stéphane Cazes, receives the Grand Prize for film music (following the brothers Sacha and Evgueni Galperine, Erwann Kermorvant and Jorge Arriagada).
Pianist and composer, a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where he obtained 5 first prizes, Mathieu Lamboley wrote his first film score, Les oreilles n'ont pas de paupières, at the age of 25 and received the Grand Prize for best original soundtrack at the Aubagne festival.
This release marks the beginning of his career as a composer for visual media.
