From 21 September to 8 October, Musica Divina brings heavenly and healing music to the Kempen region under the festival motto Caring for each other.
With the motto A glad heart (promotes healing) it became clear in 2022 that the healing aspect of music during Musica Divina receives a place of honor alongside the heavenly. In 2023 the motto is Caring for each other. Many dimensions of this challenge are addressed during this festival edition: the guardian angel, care for the deceased and the bereaved, care for oneself, rune songs, caring for people in flight, the ceremony of marriage, today caring for a future, caring for nature, allowing darkness and sharing the breath of life with one another.
During the concerts, music creates connection to each other. Between the musicians themselves, between the musicians and the listeners. The festival team will also take good care of you during Musica Divina. Together with BRYGGEN Bruges Strings in the abbey of Averbode, Graindelavoix in Geel, Les Muffatti in Herentals, Voces Suaves in the abbey of Tongerlo, Psallentes & Revue Blanche in Mol, Benedicte Maurseth in Turnhout, Ensemble Gamut! in Heist-op-den-Berg, IJLLAND in Oosterlo, Romina Lischka in the abbey of Postel, Carousel & Annelien Van Wauwe in Lier and Currende in Hoogstraten.
Musica Divina is a total experience. Each concert begins with an introduction by Klara presenter Katelijne Boon. After each concert, the listener can enjoy a free reception in cooperation with the local authorities and partners. Musica Divina holds Kempen hospitality high.
