His Sinfonia Concertante and Passie volgens Rubens op. 121 are unique musical interpretations of the passion. Roelstraete was inspired by the dramatic and expressive paintings of Peter Paul Rubens, who masterfully depicted the Passion of Christ. This work combines meditative passages with powerful musical expressions and offers an intense experience that connects painting and music in a special way.
