From the 2026-2027 academic year, the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp welcomes with great enthusiasm two new teachers in the violin department: Aki Saulière and Gordan Nikolić. With their impressive international careers and passion for teaching, they are a great asset to the programme.
Aki Saulière is renowned as an internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician. Her experience with top ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and her artistic direction of La Loingtaine testify to her versatility and musical mastery. She places strong emphasis on developing musicality and individuality in her students, which aligns seamlessly with the Conservatoire's vision of musical education.
Gordan Nikolić, former concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra and current music director of the Dutch Chamber Orchestra, brings an impressive combination of baroque and contemporary expertise. His commitment to high-quality education and experience at international conservatoires make him an inspiring colleague within the violin department.
Together with the current teachers, Guido De Neve and Jolente De Maeyer, they form a complementary and dynamic team ready to guide the next generation of violinists.
