Emma Posman, the refined soprano who this year came second in the Honda Competition for Classical Music (won by our laureate Golden Label Young Talent, Balder Dendievel) was asked by the most important opera festival in the world, the Salzburger Festspiele, to take on the role of the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart at the very last moment. She had barely an hour to prepare, but according to the commentaries, this was neither heard nor seen. It will not be the first nor the last artist to be noticed via a 'replacement role' and thus build an international career. We wish Emma Posman all the success, she deserves it!
