On Sunday, November 24, 2024, the Sint-Gorgoniuskerk in Hoegaarden transformed into a vibrant oasis of passion and rhythm during the concert Tango Argentino! With Duo Fortecello (Anna Mikulska on cello and Philippe Argenty on piano), bandoneon player Carmela Delgado and the dance couple Compagnie Trespugliese (Marie Quilly and Sebastián Ovejero), the audience was immersed in the enchanting world of Argentine tango. It was an evening not soon to be forgotten.
A musical journey through tango

The masterful Carmela Delgado
Carmela Delgado brought the soul of Argentina to Hoegaarden with her bandoneon playing. The bandoneon, a complex and expressive instrument so closely connected to tango, seemed to come alive in her hands. Her playing was intense, full of emotion and technically flawless.
