Angel of Peace

In a time of renewed rising conflicts, the album Angel of Peace offers a moment of rest in the form of clarifying and purifying music from six centuries. Central is the power and beauty of poetry in the music of Hildegard von Bingen and John Taverner, but also of contemporary composers such as Pärt, Todd and Clyne, the latter works of which have been specially commissioned by The Sixteen. The performers hope that with each of these works they can share a moment of peace and connection through the timeless language of music.
