Another Look at Harmony

On this new b-records production, conductor Léo Warynski and vocal ensemble Les Métaboles present little-known choral works by two composers who lived in completely different centuries. The visually clear work "Another Look at Harmony - Part IV" by Philip Glass alternates with a canon for 16 voices by the obscure Baroque master Andrea Basily (1705-1775). This piece, which has never been performed before, harmonizes with the minimalism of Philip Glass through its almost perfectly cyclical music, which seems to rotate almost magically and appears not to stop.
