The album contains live recordings of three cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach: BWV 117 "Sei Lob und Ehr dem höchsten Gut", BWV 106 "Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit" and BWV 154 "Mein liebster Jesus ist verloren". The choir & orchestra of the Bach Stichting from St. Gallen sing and play (on historical instruments) under the direction of Rudolf Lutz. The soloists are Jan Kobow (tenor), Markus Volpert (bass), Marie Luise Werneburg (soprano), Jessica Jans (soprano) and Elvira Bill (alto). The booklet contains the German cantata texts, individual cantata introductions (in English and German) and musicological contributions by Dr. Anselm Hartinger and Rudolf Lutz.
