Blues Symphony

Wynton Marsalis is a world-renowned trumpet player, bandleader and composer and one of the most important representatives of American culture. He is one of the few contemporary artists who has succeeded in gaining recognition and the highest respect from both critics and audiences, both as a jazz musician and as an interpreter of classical music and composer of genre-transcending works. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and music director Jader Bignamini present the "Blues Symphony" by Wynton Marsalis.
