Jose Antonio Bottiroli's protegé and greatest advocate, Fabio Banegas, presents this fourth volume of the complete piano works of his mentor. In this varied collection, he performs works with orchestra and chamber ensemble as well as pieces for solo piano and piano duo. "Symphonic Impressions" for piano and orchestra offers lyricism and virtuosity, while the rest of the program focuses on Bottiroli's contrapuntal mastery, the creative adaptation and expansion of earlier works, and his arrangements of Argentine folk dances such as the chamame. Bottiroli composed 70 piano works, 23 chamber music works, 8 choral works and 12 symphonic works, but he also wrote 84 poems and other literary works. Fabio Banegas, winner of the Global Music Award "Outstanding Achievement", is an established Argentine-American classical pianist and music publisher. He won the Mozarteu Santa Fe Competition and the Redfield Award from the Philharmonic Society of Orange County and performed in Europe and America. His discography contains numerous world premieres. In addition to the complete piano works of José Antonio Bottiroli, he has premiered works by Eduardo Grau, Nicolás Alfredo Alessio and Jacobo Ficher, both on recordings and in live performances. In 2011, Banegas compiled and catalogued the complete works of Bottiroli.
