Cello Concertos

Harriet Krijgh is one of the most exciting and promising cellists of our time. Her lyrical and expressive playing touches and inspires both audiences and press. Since 2012, the artist has released six albums on Capriccio. This extensive discography contains works by Kabalevsky, Haydn, Brahms and Rachmaninoff, as well as an album with works by French composers. Harriet Krijgh won numerous first prizes at international competitions. She was a "Rising Star" of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) and took over the artistic direction of the International Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht from Janine Jansen in 2017 and 2018. With this cd, she ventures for the first time onto the Olympus of the most famous cello concertos: with the recording of the masterworks of Dvorák and Elgar, a long-cherished wish also comes true for her.
