The combination of Debussy's music with works by Ernest Chausson and Maurice Emmanuel on one cd is certainly no random choice, but evidence of the diversity and vitality of French music at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Especially because both composers he admired and appreciated are colleagues who are unjustly neglected today.
