The Codex Faenza is one of the most important manuscripts of the Ars Nova and fascinates both musicians and musicologists. This remarkable collection contains instrumental arrangements of Italian and French vocal works by famous 14th-century composers such as Francesco Landini, Guillaume de Machaut, Jacopo da Bologna and Bartolino da Padova. Through a unique fusion of original vocal models, the version arranged from the codex and newly composed diminutions by the performer, L'Amorosa Caccia creates a captivating auditory journey that takes the listener to a world where composition and reinterpretation unfold in a truly three-dimensional listening experience. L'Amorosa Caccia plays on copies of medieval instruments and on the organ of the Basilique de Valère (1435), the oldest still playable organ.
