Henrik Hellstenius: Konzert für Percussion, 6 Solo-Sänger & Orchester "Public Behaviour"

Norwegian composer Henrik Hellstenius studied musicology at the University of Oslo and later composition with Lasse Thoresen at the Norwegian State Academy in Oslo. From 1992 to 1993 he studied with Gérard Grisey at the Conservatoire Supérieure in Paris and also computer-assisted composition at IRCAM in Paris.

Hellstenius' oeuvre encompasses a broad range of works: chamber music (Five Imprents of Time, 1994), orchestral works (In Memoriam, 2012 and A Quiet Space, 2008 / 2015), opera (Ophelias: Death by Water Singing, 2005) and electro-acoustic music (The Law, 2014), but also music for theater, film and ballet. His works are frequently performed at concerts and festivals throughout Europe. Hellstenius' music is lively and animated and the listener experiences directly an underlying melodic, even lyrical sensibility that is present directly or indirectly.
