The oratorio I fatti di Mosè is a forgotten baroque masterwork by Bernardo Pasquini. It was composed in 1687 to a libretto by Giovanni Battista Giardini and is part of a larger Moses cycle. The score, rediscovered and transcribed by Thomas Chigioni, is characterized by its dramatic intensity and the prominent role of the basso continuo. The Locatelli Ensemble presents a lively and stylistically informed interpretation of a work full of contrasts, expressive nuances and harmonic refinement.
