Immortality

Timothy Corlis is a Juno Award-nominated composer acclaimed for the depth, passion and color of his music. His magnum opus "Missa Pax" reinterprets the liturgical tradition and gives it different expression and fresh vitality. Corlis is also committed to social change, with activism central to his creativity. In "Loveliest of trees", a setting of the eponymous poem by A.E. Housman, he celebrates the beauty and abundance of nature. The role of the divine feminine in the birth of Christ is reflected in "O magnum mysterium"; the dynamics of New York City inspire "Immortality" and "In paradisum" reminds us that paradise is often experienced on earth. Noel Edison has made more than 26 recordings with his various choirs under the Naxos label. A number of these recordings have been nominated for both Grammy and Juno Awards. Edison has long been recognized as one of Canada's most prominent choral conductors.
