"The well-tempered pianist" as a title refers of course to J.S. Bach's "Das wohltemperierte Klavier" by way of wink. In "The well-tempered pianist" the true nature of the pianist is reflected as being good-humoured and high-spirited. As a piano teacher Johan Duijck witnessesshow young people experience a signature with sharps and flats as threatening. That is why the plan originated to include all keys in four books of twelve short pieces suitable for children.
