Probably one of the most important pianists of the 20th century, Robert Casadesus combined his successful career as a performer, often together with his brother and sister, with a constant and highly productive compositional life, which has given us some of the most original and interesting piano works of the previous century. It is therefore symbolic that Mauro Cecchin chose the title "Les partitions oubliées" (The Forgotten Scores) for this work, since it consists mainly of world premiere recordings and sheds an entirely new light on a composer who demonstrated a compositional capacity and intelligence that was certainly unparalleled.
