The German David Friedemann Strunck has been principal oboist of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra since 2004. Here he presents himself on the Norwegian label LAWO with little-known works for oboe and piano as an equally accomplished and expressive chamber musician, introducing some pieces with his own improvisations. The program ranges from Romanticism to contemporary music.
