Le Miroir De Musique, Baptiste Romain
Gilles Binchois (ca. 1400-1460) was one of the most important composers of the early renaissance. He was highly valued by his contemporaries and left a lasting legacy, particularly through his polyphonic chansons and religious works, which remain unknown to the general public. This selection of works by the master born in Henegouwen sketches the development of his musical language, from the emergence of the Burgundian style to later instrumental transcriptions. All testify to the timeless beauty of his melodies and harmonic structures.
