Marc Nagels 50 Years of Organ Building

Organ builder Marc Nagels specializes in breathing new life into older instruments, allowing his own sound aesthetics to play a role. This recording presents three of 'his' masterpieces. In the Belgian municipality of Nieuwerkerken, a German organ found a new home in a Belgian organ case. The Ruef organ in Stevoort received new bellows to sound clearer and more convincing. The majestic three-manual organ in Zonhoven was allowed to retain its versatile character. Modifications to the higher registers and the foundation tone of the lower voices lend the sound brilliance and harmonic balance.
