The Italian pianist Marco Mantovani, who lives in Belgium, has so far devoted his recording career exclusively to Robert Schumann. From 2022 to 2024 he released three albums in which Schumann's influences came clearly to the fore. Chopin in the Novelette op. 21 and the Kinderszenen, the writer E. T.A. Hoffmann in the Fantasiestücke op. 12 and the Kreisleriana, Beethoven in the Fantasia op. 17 and Schubert in the Davidsbündlertänze. The three albums are now available as a boxset.
