Meridiane-Spoken

For the second project in the Meridiane- series, Sjaella explores the music of cultures whose language exists only as a mother tongue for minorities. On this new album, Spoke, the a cappella vocal ensemble shares her fascination with cultural diversity and vocal sounds through new interpretations of traditional music. The arrangements of folk songs and dances, as well as new compositions, represent sonic worlds that move between tradition and modernity. Sjaella's Meridiane- series, which continues on Fuga Libera, is a succession of colorful musical treasures that strengthens the ensemble's bond with its own cultural roots.
