These composers began as child prodigies, the three of them. Tinel and Röntgen, contemporaries, wrote the compelling works on this CD in the same year, 1876. Both were great admirers of Brahms. Rosseau’s composition is impressionist and atmospheric, replete with colorful harmonies.
