The Altberg Ensemble presents orchestral music by German Baroque composers who were already called "Lullists" by their contemporaries, either because they had studied with Lully in Paris or had at least played a role in establishing his characteristic style in Germany, which was generally considered "French". Under the direction of Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, the excellent ensemble with original Polish sounds demonstrates with great sensitivity what was then considered the absolute pinnacle of "bon goût" in court music.
