Translate German English French Spanish Portuguese Italian Dutch Polish Russian Japanese Chinese Romain De La Haye-Serafini, alias Molécule, composes electronic music, is a DJ and a musical adventurer who has made field recordings his trademark. For several years, the Breton has been traveling around the world, from the stormy waters of the North Atlantic Ocean or Nazaré in Portugal to a Vendée Globe boat, where he searched for sounds that he subsequently brought to their final form. Two years ago, he decided to immerse himself in the heart of a symphony orchestra - a less dangerous but equally fascinating adventure. He recorded all the sounds of the orchestra, not only those of Mahler and Beethoven, but also those of the instruments themselves, and created a symphonic work from it, which he subsequently transcribed for 83 musicians. The Orchestre National de Lille, under the direction of Alexandre Bloch, has accepted the challenge of this unprecedented exploration and now presents Molecule's First Symphony, entitled "Quantique", which not only bridges the past and the future, but is also an introspective work by a unique artist.
