Meet Sarahbanda - the Cuban band with something special! Sarahbanda was founded as part of Sarah Willis' successful Mozart y Mambo project and is dedicated in an unprecedented and unmistakable way to rousing Cuban dance rhythms. How does it work? By using an instrument that doesn't exist in traditional Cuban band music - the French horn. The sound of Sarah Willis' horn, member of the Berliner Philharmoniker, combined with Cuban grooves played by some of the most talented musicians of the Caribbean island, forms the basis of this exciting and passionate group that has no equal. With their exclusive new arrangements of some of the most famous Cuban songs such as Chan Chan and Sandunguera, original compositions by the band members and surprising "classical meets Cuban", Sarahbanda creates a completely new sound - fresh, innovative, irresistible. Get up and dance! "I loved being part of a Cuban dance band with my French horn. I've been a passionate salsa dancer for years and love the atmosphere in dance clubs. My Mozart y Mambo experience inspired me to play more Cuban music and take the combination of horn and salsa band to the next level - even though the horn, not only in Cuba, traditionally has no place in such a band. So I asked some of the most talented and well-known Cuban musicians to form a new band with me. That was the birth of The Sarahbanda. We proudly present our first album, Sarahbanda.
