This is the second part of Bach's violin sonatas and partita, performed by mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile, multiple Grammy winner and founder of both Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek. For this album, Chris chose a more personal approach to the works of the great master, and took the liberty to deviate from the scores, which he recorded at multiple and somewhat unusual locations that hold personal meaning for him.
