The Kraken Consort - O'er the Moor

The Kraken Consort was born in 2021 from the imagination of three musicians, friends and colleagues: theorbo player Bruno Helstroffer, soprano Chantal Santon Jeffery and tenor Robert Getchell, an enthusiast of Celtic music. They share a love for traditional oral and improvised music and wanted to collaborate with instrumentalists who have extensive experience with traditional music: Ronan Pellen (cittern), Brewen Favrau (piper), Sylvain Barou (flute), David Lombardi (violin) and Laurène Durantel (double bass). For their debut album, the Kraken Consort draws from Irish and Scottish musical traditions.
