The Zurich Chamber Singers collaborate with the renowned composer Paul Mealor and the sonic art saxophone quartet, for a unique and special project. Mealor has composed 14 short pieces, inspired by the travels of Margery Kempe, author of one of the earliest known autobiographies in English literature, "The Book of Margery Kempe". This album brings Kempe's extensive pilgrimages to holy places such as Jerusalem, Rome, Santiago de Compostela and Canterbury to life and captures her profound spiritual experiences. Through this innovative musical journey, the Zurich Chamber Singers illuminate the remarkable legacy of Margery Kempe.
