For her debut album, South Korean flutist Jeehee Han has devoted herself together with renowned musical partners to three works by Carl Reinecke (1824-1910), who had a decisive influence on the romantic flute repertoire.

Han has had a close bond with Reinecke's music since her youth: "I fell in love with his works when I was thirteen," she says. This personal connection runs as a common thread throughout the entire album and gives the program an unmistakable signature.

In the famous Undine Sonate, Jeehee Han plays alongside star pianist Lang Lang. About her interpretation, he says: "Jeehee has put her whole heart into this music. I am delighted to be part of this beautiful project."

For the Flute Concerto in D major and the Ballade in D minor for flute and orchestra, Han is accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Vasily Petrenko. "Miracles happened when we played together," describes the South Korean the collaboration.

The result is a debut that not only sheds new light on Reinecke's music, but also impressively conveys its timeless appeal.
