Daniil Trifonov makes his debut at deSingel with a piano recital from Händel to Ginastera and his own tango. Händel, Schubert, Stravinsky, Villa Lobos, Bullumba Landestoy, Ginastera and Daniil Trifonov's own tango: rarely does a single recital unite such a rich palette of styles, periods and musical worlds. With apparent ease, Trifonov moves between Baroque and contemporary, between stillness and fiery Latin American rhythms. Trifonov is not only among the most leading pianists of his generation, but also profiles himself as a refined composer. His own tango gives the program a personal and playful character and reveals another side of his artistry.
