Every performance by Ahn promises a unique, colorful and enchanting experience - and this time is no exception. With roots in shamanic rituals and training in contemporary dance in Korea and the United States, Ahn developed a distinctive visual language. In this performance, she dives into the rich dance and visual traditions of Asia, while simultaneously celebrating, magnifying and questioning them. For centuries, 'the East' has been surrounded by exotic fantasies - both in the West and within Asia itself. On stage, folk legends, traditional costumes, pop culture and contemporary dance collide with each other. Ahn plays with clichés, twists them and sometimes drives them to the absurd.
