Herreweghe conducts Dvořák's Requiem - Antonín Dvořák

Don't expect superficial gestures or melancholy. This requiem radiates a courageous sorrow that never becomes gloomy or tragic. Dvořák's greatest choral work is a relatively unknown gem. In the list of great requiems, it is sometimes unjustly overlooked. A few years ago, Philippe Herreweghe performed it together with Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Collegium Vocale. Once again they prove that Dvořák wrote the ultimate music of comfort.
