Hildur Guðnadóttir – Where to From

Oscar-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir brings an intimate concert with strings and voices. New compositions and earlier work flow together in a captivating evening where music and light create a hushed sound world. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of her first solo album Mount A, Oscar-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir presents Where to From, a concert with intimate compositions. For Guðnadóttir, the title refers to direction and movement: when you create something, an idea emerges from nothing and develops from a starting point towards its own destination. After touring less for a few years, she is now back on stage, together with an ensemble of fellow musicians. They bring Where to From in dialogue with a selection from her earlier work. Strings and voices form their shared instrumentation, which provides natural resonance when they play together. For this performance, the music is accompanied by a dynamic lighting design by Theresa Baumgartner. Thus the concert grows into a captivating experience in which sound and light flow together and you are immersed in Guðnadóttir's unique musical world.
