The National Women Youth Choir sings excerpts from Fauré's heavenly Requiem, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra adds classical top hits by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and more. Classical Hits In a concert featuring classical hits, Mozart, Bach and Beethoven – the Great Three of classical music – cannot be absent. According to an old saying, Bach is the ultimum for the mind, Beethoven for the heart and Mozart for the soul. Together with other 'evergreens', including Smetana's The Moldau and Rachmaninoff's Vocalise, the music of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart forms the core of this concert. A special part of the programme is Fauré's Requiem, sung by the National Women Youth Choir. The heavenly, comforting music consistently ranks high in classical charts. Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Women Youth Choir The most beloved classical masterworks are performed by the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Women Youth Choir. The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the most versatile orchestras in the Netherlands and an important pillar within The Sunday Morning Concert. In the National Women Youth Choir sing the crème de la crème of young Dutch singers aged 16 to 30. The choir performs frequently with music from 1500 to present day, on professional stages at home and abroad. The two ensembles are conducted this morning by the inspiring conductor Sander Teepen.
