Singers and orchestra members, associated with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, treat you monthly to a relaxing aperitif concert. Major pages from chamber music alternate with rarely performed works and forgotten gems. After each concert, there is an opportunity to chat with the musicians. One drink is included in the ticket for each concert. Captivated by jazz and blues and inspired by an African version of the creation story, Darius Milhaud wrote his fascinating ballet music La Création du monde. The wind players of the Symfonisch Orkest van Opera Ballet Vlaanderen under the direction of maestro Stephan Zilias present it to the spotlight together with Igor Stravinsky's Symphonies d'instruments à vent and Fanfares liturgiques by French composer Henri Tomasi. Prepare yourself for swinging rhythms, monumental harmonies and surprising timbral colours.
