Singers and orchestra members affiliated with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen treat you monthly to a relaxing aperitif concert. Great pages from chamber music alternate with rarely performed works and forgotten gems. After each concert, there is an opportunity to chat with the musicians. One drink is included in the ticket for each concert. Inspired by jazz and blues and drawn to an African version of the creation story, Darius Milhaud wrote his fascinating ballet music La Création du monde. The wind players of the Symphony Orchestra of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen under the direction of maestro Stephan Zilias bring it to the fore together with Igor Stravinsky's Symphonies d'instruments à vent and Fanfares liturgiques by French composer Henri Tomasi. Prepare yourself for swinging rhythms, monumental harmonies and surprising timbres.
