Lohengrin - Richard Wagner

Elsa von Brabant is summoned by the king to account for the murder of her missing brother. She entrusts her fate to God and to a knight she saw in a dream who must defend her honour. Drawn by a swan, the knight appears in a boat and comes to Elsa's aid, on one condition: she must never ask his name or origin. As protector of Brabant and Elsa's husband, their happiness seems complete — if not for the vengeful duo Telramund and Ortrud, who want to seize power, even by poisoning Elsa's innocent soul.
