Antwerp Symphony Orchestra & Opera Ballet Vlaanderen welcome you together On Saturday, September 5th, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Opera Ballet Vlaanderen celebrate the start of the new cultural season with a festive open house day in the Koningin Elisabethzaal and Opera Antwerpen. Both venues on Astridplein and Operaplein open their doors wide for young and old. Throughout the day, experience free activities, open rehearsals, musical yoga sessions, a behind-the-scenes glimpse, activities and meetings with musicians in the venues and on the squares. Antwerp Symphony Orchestra concludes the day with a free grand symphonic concert on the stage of the Koningin Elisabethzaal. A preview of the program: 13:00 - 14:00 open orchestra rehearsal with Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Elisabethzaal) 14:30 - 17:00 open rehearsal with the orchestra and cast of the new production De materie (Opera Antwerpen) Between 14:00 and 17:00: Dance workshops on dance heritage with Zoë Demoustier (Opera Antwerpen) 14:30 & 16:30: Yoga session on soundscapes guided by percussionists (Elisabethzaal) 18:00 - 19:00: free concert by Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Elisabethzaal) Continuous free guided tours, workshops for children, musical surprises inside and outside.
