A richly orchestrated, virtuosic work in which soloist Emmanuel Pahud is the driving force behind a broadly breathing orchestral sound. The flutist balances between acrobatic runs and long, lyrical lines, between chamber music intimacy and frontal confrontation with the full orchestra. Samy Moussa studied in his birthplace Montréal and continued his training in Europe. You can hear that.
